This is a set of guidelines that outlines the general procedures and minimum requirements for inspection, testing, and acceptance of new sanitary sewer systems commissioned by a client and/or municipality.
About new construction acceptance guidelines:
- They are based on requirements and procedures from provincial authorities (e.g. Ontario Provincial Standard Specifications (OPSS) and the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM)).
- They outline specific requirements to help prevent inflow and infiltration from entering new sanitary sewer systems.
- They provide direction for the preferred test methods, performance rates, and testing limits.
Often the tests must be conducted in the presence of a municipality officer or their qualified representative in order to be accepted. We will be with you every step of the way, making sure it gets done right the first time.
