CIPP Spot Repairs

"There is no other single trenchless technology that has the potential to save your Municipality more money than our Inverted CIPP Spot Repair. Were talking real, serious money"
Randy Kowal, Engineering Technologist, D.M. Robichaud Associates Limited.

Most clients are familiar with CIPP lining where a resin impregnated liner is inverted into a sewer and a new pipe is created within the host pipe. Full length MH to MH lining is great when the entire line is in poor condition, however when there are only small areas within a section of sewer that need repair it is far more cost effective to install a CIPP Spot Repair. These can be anywhere from 1 m to 10m or more in length depending on the pipe size, although 1 to 3 m lengths are most common. Given than a typical sewer is 80 to 100m in length you may be paying for a lot more repair than is required to bring your sewers into top notch condition.

Everyone is talking about Asset Management. This is our take on Asset Management - Why spend $20,000 to install a full length liner when for just a small fraction you can fix just the problem area? Spot Repairs are Asset Management friendly - they permit our clients to fix up to an order of magnitude more sewers for the same amount of money as full length lining. In the past several years we have installed hundreds of Spot Repairs easily saving our clients over $5,000,000. That's practical asset management that can be put to use right now in your Municipality. Spot repairs are ideal when you have good, tight joint structure, and only isolated cracks and fractures within a line.

ASTM F2599-06 is the Industry standard for inverted spot repairs. Other spot repair systems are not inverted but dragged into position, therefore these repairs can become contaminated while they are being pulled through the sewer. DMR is the official licensee of the LMK Performance Liner Sectional CIPP Spot Repair System in Ontario. The LMK system is a highly engineered product that meets all ASTM and Industry standards, has a traceable origin and fully backed guarantee. The LMK system is the premier spot repair system and therefore may cost a little more than other systems that do not meet these standards. Make sure that your specification calls for ASTM F2599-06 to ensure a quality product.
